Position Title: Lead Modular Architect
Department: Design & Operations
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Jalandhar
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Lead Modular Architect to manage the complete end-to-end lifecycle of our aeropod products (including room pods, office pods, security guard cabins, sleeping pods, solo pods, and conference room pods).
In this role, you will bridge the gap between creative architectural design and factory execution. You will be responsible for end-to-end product realization—from conceptualizing interior and exterior architectural designs (incorporating integrated utilities such as kitchens, beds, workstations, wall art, and specialized door systems) to directly supervising shop-floor manufacturing, structural welding, assembly, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Architectural & Spatial Design (Interior & Exterior)
- Conceptualize and design space-efficient, visually compelling pod models across our commercial, residential, security, and office product lines.
- Prepare comprehensive architectural drawings, 3D renderings, floor plans, elevations, and detailed joinery/millwork drawings for integrated utilities (kitchenettes, Murphy/built-in beds, ergonomic tables, wall art installations, and custom door systems).
- Select and specify durable, lightweight, high-performance exterior cladding, insulation, interior finishes, lighting, and HVAC/electrical layouts tailored for compact pod spaces.
2. Manufacturing Engineering & Production Supervision
- Translate architectural designs into actionable Shop Drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), and assembly sequences for the manufacturing team.
- Oversee on-site factory operations, including structural frame fabrication, metal welding (MS/GI/Aluminum), wall paneling, weatherproofing, interior fit-outs, and final assembly.
- Work directly on the factory floor alongside welders, fabricators, carpenters, and electricians to resolve structural or execution challenges in real time.
3. Quality Assurance & Standards Compliance
- Perform rigorous quality audits at every stage of production (raw material inspection, weld integrity, frame alignment, waterproofing, interior fit-and-finish, electrical safety testing, and door/hardware fitment).
- Ensure all manufactured pods strictly adhere to approved CAD/BIM design specifications, dimensional tolerances, structural safety standards, and client custom requests.
- Establish and enforce standardized Quality Control (QC) checklists and operational workflows to streamline manufacturing and eliminate rework.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture (B.Arch / M.Arch), Structural Design, or Industrial Product Design.
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in modular architecture, prefabricated structures, container conversions, micro-housing, or off-site manufacturing.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, or 3D Max, along with rendering tools (V-Ray, Lumion, or Enscape).
- In-depth understanding of structural welding techniques, steel/aluminum frame fabrication, modular joinery, and lightweight construction materials.
- Practical knowledge of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) integration within compact architectural spaces.
- Key Attributes:
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively direct shop-floor technicians, welders, and artisans.
- High attention to detail regarding interior craftsmanship, ergonomic spatial layout, and high-end exterior finishing.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Design Accuracy: Zero design-related reworks required during shop-floor assembly.
- Quality Compliance: 100% pass rate of finished pods against established QC checklists prior to dispatch.
- On-Time Delivery: Adherence to scheduled fabrication and assembly timelines per project order.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
