Role Summary
ePropelled is seeking a Product Packaging & Transit Engineer to design, develop, validate, and industrialize packaging solutions for electric motors, ESCs, integrated motor controllers, UAV propulsion systems, and related products. The role is responsible for ensuring products reach customers globally without cosmetic or functional damage while meeting cost, quality, logistics, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design packaging solutions for motors (Inrunner & Outrunner), ESCs, electronics, and propulsion systems.
- Develop packaging for single-unit, multi-unit, OEM, distributor, and export shipments.
- Select and optimize packaging materials including corrugated boxes, molded pulp, EPP/EPE/EVA foams, plastic trays, anti-static packaging, and moisture protection systems.
- Ensure protection against shock, vibration, compression, paint scratches, corrosion, ESD, and environmental damage during transportation.
- Design packaging using CAD tools and prepare manufacturing drawings and specifications.
- Conduct packaging validation through drop, vibration, compression, and transit simulation testing.
- Ensure compliance with ISTA, ASTM, ISO, and international shipping standards.
- Work with suppliers to develop cost-effective and manufacturable packaging solutions.
- Define packaging BOMs, work instructions, quality standards, and inspection criteria.
- Investigate transit damage issues and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Global Customer teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product packaging, transit packaging, or industrial packaging engineering.
- Experience packaging electromechanical products, motors, electronics, automotive, aerospace, or industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD software.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, logistics requirements, and global transportation methods.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of ISTA, ASTM, ISO packaging and transportation standards.
- Experience with UAV, automotive, aerospace, or power electronics products.
- Understanding of DFM, DFA, GD&T, supplier development, and quality assurance processes.
- Experience in packaging cost optimization and sustainability initiatives.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
