Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Stenographer to provide comprehensive stenographic and administrative support to our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking dictation, transcribing legal documents accurately, maintaining confidential records, and assisting with day-to-day legal and administrative operations. The role requires excellent shorthand and typing skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Take dictation from advocates and senior legal professionals using shorthand and transcribe it accurately.
- Draft, type, format, and proofread legal documents, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, petitions, notices, agreements, and correspondence.
- Prepare and maintain case files, legal records, and client documentation.
- Schedule meetings, court dates, client appointments, and maintain lawyers' calendars.
- Coordinate with courts, clients, government offices, and other stakeholders as required.
- Ensure confidentiality of all legal documents and client information.
- Maintain proper filing systems, both physical and electronic.
- Assist in preparing hearing briefs, case summaries, and meeting minutes.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, emails, and telephone communications.
- Perform other administrative and secretarial duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Diploma or certification in Stenography or Secretarial Practice is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English shorthand and typing. Hindi shorthand is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Experience
- 1–5 years of experience as a Stenographer, preferably in a law firm, legal department, or court environment.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
