Job Description
We are looking for a Transformer Testing Engineer to carry out electrical and high-voltage testing of power and distribution transformers in accordance with applicable standards and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine, type, and special tests on transformers
- Conduct electrical tests such as TTR, winding resistance, IR, tan delta, impedance, no-load and load loss tests
- Carry out high-voltage tests including applied and induced voltage tests
- Assist in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
- Analyze test results and identify non-conformities
- Prepare test reports and technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with IEC / IEEE / IS standards
- Follow safety procedures during high-voltage testing
- Coordinate with production, quality, and design teams
Required Skills
- Knowledge of transformer testing methods and standards
- Experience with transformer testing equipment
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in transformer manufacturing, testing, or commissioning is an advantage
