About the Role
We're looking for a driven Business Developer with a strong interest in technology to identify new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth. You'll work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to expand our market presence and convert prospects into long-term clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in the tech sector.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential growth areas.
- Develop and execute outbound prospecting strategies. (cold outreach, networking, events)
- Prepare and deliver compelling pitches, proposals, and product demonstrations.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals in collaboration with sales leadership.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to relay client feedback and market needs.
- Track pipeline activity and report on KPIs using CRM tools. (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
- Stay current on emerging technologies relevant to the company's product/service offering.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-2years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships, ideally in a tech/SaaS environment.
- Strong understanding of technology products, software solutions, or digital services.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales/growth targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Comfortable working with CRM and sales enablement tools.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience selling to technical audiences. (developers, IT managers, CTOs)
- Familiarity with SaaS, cloud, AI, or enterprise software business models.
- Existing network within the tech industry.
- Experience with outbound sales tools (Apollo, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
