System Administration
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows and Linux operating systems.
Perform day-to-day administration tasks for servers, desktops, and IT infrastructure.
Monitor system performance, availability, and resource utilization.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating system-related issues.
Perform regular system updates, patching, and maintenance activities.
Maintain system documentation and IT asset records.
Windows Administration
Basic administration of Windows Server environments.
Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions.
Assist with Active Directory user management.
Support DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and File Server operations.
Troubleshoot Windows desktop and server issues.
Linux Administration
Perform basic Linux server administration tasks.
Manage users, groups, file permissions, and services.
Monitor Linux system logs and troubleshoot service issues.
Work with common Linux commands and shell utilities.
Assist in managing Linux-based applications and servers.
Networking Support
Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues.
Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLAN concepts.
Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity.
Assist network team with firewall and switch-related tasks.
Virtualization
Basic knowledge of virtualization platforms such as:
Proxmox
Assist in VM creation, configuration, snapshots, and resource management.
Backup & Security
Assist with backup monitoring and restoration activities.
Verify backup jobs and report failures.
Follow IT security policies and best practices.
Perform antivirus updates and security checks.
Assist with system hardening activities.
User Support
Provide technical support to end users.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, email, and network issues.
Manage IT support tickets and ensure timely resolution.
Escalate complex issues to senior administrators.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
Understanding of Active Directory concepts.
Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Basic command-line experience:
Windows CMD / PowerShell
Linux Shell commands
Understanding of hardware components and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of virtualization concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
0–2 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
Certifications are a plus:
CCNA
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
