Position: Testing Engineer
Industry: CT / PT / Transformer Manufacturing
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech Electrical or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Experience: 1–2 years preferred
Location: Tushar Trans Equipment Pvt Ltd (Por GIDC)
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine and type testing of CT (Current Transformer), PT/VT (Potential Transformer), and transformers as per company procedures and applicable standards.
- Conduct electrical testing of transformers and CT/PT units before dispatch.
- Perform tests such as:
- Insulation Resistance (IR) Test
- High Voltage / Hi-Pot Test
- Turns Ratio Test (TTR)
- Winding Resistance Test
- Polarity Test
- Ratio and Accuracy Test
- Excitation / Knee Point Test for CT
- No-load and load-related tests as applicable
- Verify test results against drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Operate and maintain electrical testing equipment and instruments.
- Prepare test reports, inspection records, and test certificates.
- Identify testing failures or abnormalities and coordinate with Production and Quality teams for corrective action.
- Ensure proper calibration and condition of testing instruments.
- Follow electrical safety procedures during testing activities.
- Support customer/FAT inspections and internal quality audits when required.
- Maintain proper documentation and traceability of tested products.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Electrical Engineering fundamentals.
- Understanding of CT, PT/VT and transformer construction and testing.
- Knowledge of electrical measuring instruments and testing equipment.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and test specifications.
- Basic knowledge of IS/IEC standards related to transformers and CT/PT is preferred.
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and test report preparation.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing/testing environment.
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech – Electrical Engineering, or
- Diploma – Electrical Engineering
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
