Guest Faculty – English Literature (Hourly Basis)

VIMS Group of Institutions is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Guest Faculty – English Literature to join our academic team at our Calicut campus on an hourly/guest faculty basis.
The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage students through effective and interactive teaching methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging and well-structured classes in English Literature.
- Deliver lectures according to the prescribed academic syllabus and learning objectives.
- Explain literary concepts, texts, genres, literary movements, and critical perspectives effectively.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, and other academic resources as required.
- Encourage student participation, critical thinking, discussion, and analytical skills.
- Clarify students' academic doubts and provide appropriate guidance.
- Conduct or assist with assignments, assessments, presentations, and academic activities when required.
- Maintain professional teaching standards and contribute positively to the academic environment.
- Coordinate with the academic team regarding class schedules, syllabus coverage, and student requirements.
Candidate Requirements
- Master's Degree in English / English Literature or a relevant discipline.
- Strong knowledge of English Literature and literary studies.
- Prior teaching/lecturing experience will be an advantage.
- Freshers with strong subject knowledge and good teaching aptitude may also be considered.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Good classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Ability to explain complex literary concepts in a simple and understandable manner.
- Passion for teaching and working with students.
- Candidates available to handle classes on an hourly/guest faculty basis are preferred.
