Art Teacher
Job Summary
Bharathidhasanar Group of Schools is looking for a creative, passionate, and experienced Art Teacher to inspire students through drawing, painting, craft, and various forms of visual art. The candidate should be able to encourage creativity, imagination, and artistic expression among students of different age groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Drawing, Painting, Craft, and Visual Arts for assigned classes.
- Prepare engaging lesson plans and age-appropriate art activities.
- Teach different techniques such as pencil sketching, colouring, watercolour, acrylic, poster making, collage, and craft.
- Introduce students to basic art concepts, creativity, composition, shading, and colour theory.
- Organize art projects, exhibitions, competitions, and classroom displays.
- Encourage students to participate in inter-school and school-level art competitions.
- Guide students in preparing artwork for Art Expo and special school events.
- Maintain proper records of student participation and artwork.
- Use innovative and activity-based teaching methods.
- Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of art materials and equipment.
- Identify and encourage students with special artistic talent.
- Participate in school events, celebrations, workshops, and co-curricular activities.
- Maintain a positive, creative, and disciplined classroom environment.
Eligibility & Skills
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Drawing, or relevant subject.
- B.Ed. or relevant teaching qualification preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of drawing, painting, craft, and art techniques.
- Creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching children.
- Good classroom-management and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct art workshops and exhibitions.
- Knowledge of digital art tools is an added advantage.
- Preference will be given to Tamil Nadu candidates.
