About Wheat Bakes
Wheat Bakes is a clean-label bakery focused on products made with wholesome ingredients, including whole wheat and millet-based products. We are looking for a hardworking and versatile team member who can support our bakery production operations and also represent the brand at pop-up stalls, corporate events and promotional activities when required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production & Kitchen Support
- Assist the production team with day-to-day bakery preparation and production activities.
- Support in weighing, measuring, mixing, shaping, packing and labelling products as instructed.
- Assist with preparation of raw materials and maintain proper storage.
- Keep the production area, equipment and workstations clean and organised.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures.
- Assist the production team in maintaining the required quantity and quality of products.
- Help with packing and transferring finished products to outlets/events.
- Support other production-related activities as assigned by the Production Head.
2. Pop-up Stall & Sales Support
- Work at Wheat Bakes pop-up stalls, corporate events, exhibitions and promotional counters whenever required.
- Welcome customers and explain Wheat Bakes products.
- Take customer orders and handle billing/payment collection when assigned.
- Suggest suitable products to customers and actively support upselling.
- Maintain the stall/display counter neatly and ensure products are properly displayed.
- Monitor stock at the stall and coordinate replenishment when required.
- Represent the Wheat Bakes brand professionally and provide good customer service.
3. General Responsibilities
- Be willing to work across production, packing, sales and events based on business requirements.
- Coordinate with the production and store teams.
- Follow company policies and instructions.
- Maintain punctuality, discipline and professional behaviour.
- Be willing to work flexible hours during events, pop-ups and high-demand periods.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: 10th / 12th pass preferred.
- Previous experience in a bakery, food production, restaurant, kitchen or retail sales is preferred but not mandatory.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Basic understanding of cleanliness and food hygiene.
- Physically fit and comfortable with production/kitchen work.
- Should be comfortable standing for extended periods.
- Must be willing to work at pop-up stalls/events whenever required.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Chennai candidates preferred.
Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
