Global Sales & Services Operations (GSSO) is the team that helps shape Gartner's mission-critical sales and services priorities and works with sales and services leaders to drive tactical and analytical insights. As an associate on the GSSO team, you'll be at the forefront of the ongoing transformation of Gartner's sales and services teams, which are delivering approximately $4.9B in annual revenue and working to drive sustained double-digit growth. You will partner with business leaders across Gartner to support global sales and services teams comprised of nearly 9,000 associates who sell to and service every major function, industry and market sector around the world.
About the role:
The role is a part of the Territory Planning & Analytics (TP&A) team in GSSO. The TP&A team is focused on designing the optimal territory investment, design and alignment strategy to maximize Sales (and Services) productivity. The Senior Specialist will be joining the New Assignment Team. The primary objective of this team is to ensure that accounts are validated and routed to the appropriate sales representative based on secondary research into company firmographic data.
The Senior Specialist will be expected to lead and independently manage the defined Operational deliverables by executing quality output of the key processes and enable the Sales team to pursue right opportunities. As an individual contributor, they will partner with various key stakeholders like Marketing, Sales & Strategy Operation, DS&E and Sales teams and improve your understanding of complex business problems from diverse perspectives and support in driving key projects and initiatives aimed to improve the Account Assignment process.
What you will do:
Stakeholder management:
Communicate efficiently with Sales Managers and representatives, providing swift and accurate responses and resolutions.
Collaborate with leadership to establish and report performance goals that align with Sales & Strategy operational objectives.
Develop and maintain tools, resources, and training materials within processes, contributing to knowledge capture and documentation.
What you will need:
An MBA or Bachelor’s degree, with 3+ years of experience. Relevant experience in service operations is preferred.
Practical understanding of Microsoft office suit. Knowledge of Power BI and Macros is a plus.
Practical, intuitive problem solving and the ability to translate queries and reported issues into process improvement insights through analysis
Proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A strong mix of thought leadership and business acumen, with a proven track record of delivering outstanding results.
Strong collaboration skills; be a self-starter who can anticipate business needs and proactively work on them
The ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and produce accurate results.
