About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Production Intern to support our manufacturing team. The intern will gain practical exposure to production planning, assembly processes, quality standards, inventory handling, and documentation while working closely with the production and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day production activities and assembly operations.
- Support production planning and ensure work orders are executed on time.
- Maintain production records, logbooks, and manufacturing documentation.
- Assist in monitoring production output and reporting daily progress.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and manufacturing guidelines.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Assist in inventory counting and material reconciliation.
- Coordinate with the Quality team to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Report production issues, machine abnormalities, or process deviations to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production floor (5S practices).
- Adhere to all company safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Perform any other production-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- Freshers or students currently pursuing their final year are welcome to apply.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain documentation accurately.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Kaizen principles.
- Basic understanding of quality control processes.
- Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems is an added advantage.
Working Conditions
- Work primarily on the production floor.
- May require standing for extended periods.
- Must comply with all safety and PPE requirements.
- Working hours as per company policy.
