Job Title: Assistant Purchase Manager- Power Transmission Projects

Position Summary:
The Purchase Manager at Prudent EPC Pvt Ltd will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth procurement of materials and services essential for the successful execution of projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in purchasing management, with expertise in vendor coordination, negotiation, and supply chain management. With a keen eye for detail and a strategic approach, the Purchase Manager will oversee the entire procurement process from sourcing vendors and preparing RFPs to finalizing rates, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to analyse market dynamics to make informed decisions. The Purchase Manager will collaborate closely with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to optimize procurement processes, reduce costs, and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
Job Description:
· Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with vendors to source materials and services, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Negotiate rates and terms to secure favourable agreements and build strong partnerships.
· RFP Management: Prepare and issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) as per Bill of Quantities (BOQ), evaluate quotations received from vendors, and prepare comparative statements for management review.
· Purchase Order Management: Finalize rates in accordance with management guidelines, issue purchase orders after obtaining approvals, and coordinate with site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
· Quality Assurance: Inspect products received for quality and quantity, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards. Address any discrepancies or issues promptly to maintain quality assurance.
· Billing and Payments: Verify invoices against purchase orders, coordinate with accounts department for timely payment processing, and maintain records of all purchase-related transactions.
· Inventory Management/WIP reporting: Manage warehouse inventory, maintain updated records of available materials, and coordinate with site teams to fulfil project requirements. profiles involves stock and work in progress reporting to the project manager.
· Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with trustworthy vendors and suppliers, conduct vendor evaluations, and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing and quality service.
. Experience in Vendor Approval processes for the project/clients. this profile involves the tasks of technical datasheet approvals from the clients and their formal approval from the clients or PMCs.

Requirements and Skills:
· Proven working experience as a Purchasing Manager in technical/engineering field, Agent, or Officer, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
· Should have minimum 1 year of experience of handling purchase related to transmission lines projects.
. Should have handled stock WIP reporting, third party and factory inspection of materials, lab test/reports certifications, vendor approvals for the project from client.
_ Should have handled labour agencies procurement.
.Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management processes, including RFP preparation, negotiation, and contract management.
· Strong negotiation and networking skills, with a keen business sense and the ability to analyse market dynamics.
· Experience with vendor management software and proficiency in gathering and analysing data.
· Solid judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and make informed decisions under pressure.
· Excellent leadership capabilities, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams effectively.
Qualifications: -
Ø Bachelor's degree in BE/BSc/Diploma in engineering., Supply Chain Management
Ø Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Engineering industry.

Total Experience:
Candidates should possess a minimum of 3-4 years of relevant engineering industry experience. Applications from candidates exceeding this experience range will not be considered.
Job Type and Location:
This is a full-time, onsite position requiring candidates to work from our offices. Additionally, the role entails travel to various locations across India as per project requirements.
Accommodation:
Outstation candidates are expected to arrange for their accommodation.
Common accommodation shall be arranged for project work locations.
Salary Range:
The budgeted salary range for this position is depend on interview and as per market standards.
