- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and inventory management
- Experience in the automobile industry is an added advantage
Job Summary
The Spare Parts Assistant is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the spare parts department, including receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining inventory. The role ensures timely availability of genuine spare parts to support workshop operations and deliver excellent customer service.
Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management
- Receive and inspect spare parts from suppliers.
- Verify quantity and quality of received parts against purchase documents.
- Store spare parts systematically for easy identification and retrieval.
- Maintain accurate stock records in the Dealer Management System (DMS) or inventory software.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and assist in stock audits.
Parts Issuance
- Issue spare parts to the workshop against approved job cards.
- Supply spare parts to retail customers as per their requirements.
- Ensure accurate documentation for all inward and outward stock movements.
- Coordinate with the Service Department to ensure timely availability of parts.
Stock Control
- Monitor stock levels and report fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-moving inventory.
- Assist in preparing reorder requests to maintain optimum inventory levels.
- Help reduce stock shortages, excess inventory, and obsolete stock.
Customer Service
- Assist customers in identifying the correct spare parts.
- Explain product availability and pricing professionally.
- Ensure prompt and courteous service to internal and external customers.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of goods received, issued, returned, and transferred.
- Assist in preparing daily and monthly inventory reports.
- Ensure proper filing of purchase orders, invoices, and stock documents.
Housekeeping & Compliance
- Keep the spare parts store clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow company policies and inventory control procedures.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of spare parts to prevent damage or loss.
- Support internal and external inventory audits.
Required Skills

Preferred Skills
- Experience in a two-wheeler or automobile dealership.
