About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Content Writer Intern with a strong interest in cricket. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, updating, and editing player biographies, career statistics, and cricket-related content across our platform. This role is perfect for someone who follows cricket closely and enjoys working with sports data and content.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and update cricket player biographies and profiles.
- Maintain accurate player statistics, records, and career achievements.
- Verify and update cricket-related data from reliable sources.
- Proofread and ensure content accuracy, consistency, and quality.
- Research players, teams, tournaments, and cricket history.
- Assist in creating cricket-related articles, match summaries, and player features.
- Coordinate with the content and operations teams to ensure timely updates.
- Monitor ongoing cricket matches and update player information when required.
- Ensure all content follows company guidelines and editorial standards.
Requirements
- Strong interest and knowledge of cricket, players, teams, and tournaments.
- Excellent written English and grammar skills.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to research and verify information from multiple sources.
- Basic knowledge of cricket statistics and records.
- Familiarity with MS Excel, Google Sheets, or content management systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in sports content writing or blogging is a plus.
- Understanding of cricket databases, scorecards, and player statistics.
