Position: Drone Survey Operator

Role Overview:
The Drone Survey Operator shall be responsible for conducting aerial drone surveys, capturing high-resolution imagery and spatial data, processing survey outputs, and supporting GIS/mapping activities for engineering, infrastructure, environmental, forestry, DPR preparation, and related consultancy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct drone-based aerial surveys, topographical surveys, mapping, and inspection activities.
- Operate UAV/Drone systems in compliance with DGCA guidelines and project requirements.
- Plan flight missions, establish Ground Control Points (GCPs), and ensure accurate geo-referenced data collection.
- Capture high-quality aerial photographs, videos, orthomosaic imagery, DEM/DSM data, and contour information.
- Perform pre-flight checks, calibration, battery management, and maintenance of drone equipment.
- Process drone survey data using relevant software for mapping and analysis.
- Coordinate with GIS experts, survey engineers, and project teams for data integration and reporting.
- Maintain flight logs, survey records, permissions, and safety documentation.
- Ensure compliance with local administration, aviation regulations, and site safety requirements.
- Support preparation of survey reports, maps, DPR inputs, and technical documentation.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, GIS, Survey Engineering, Remote Sensing, or related field.
- Minimum 1 years of experience in drone survey/GIS/survey operations.
- Valid DGCA Drone Pilot License/Certificate (Remote Pilot Certificate – RPC) for applicable drone category.
- Experience in drone mapping, topographical surveys, and GIS applications.
- Knowledge of DGCA regulations and Digital Sky procedures.

Software Knowledge:
- ArcGIS / QGIS
- Pix4D / DroneDeploy / Agisoft Metashape
- AutoCAD / Civil 3D
- Global Mapper or equivalent GIS software
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to work in remote/hilly/forest terrain
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Problem-solving and field management capability
- Experience in government/infrastructure/environmental projects preferred
