Job Summary: The Production & Operations Assistant will be responsible for coordinating the complete manufacturing cycle—from procurement of raw materials to production planning, quality control, packing, dispatch, invoicing. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with production workers, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Procurement
Plan and procure raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables.
Monitor raw material inventory and maintain optimum stock levels.
Coordinate with supervisor to ensure timely deliveries.
Production Management
Prepare daily and weekly production schedules.
Allocate work based on machine capacity and workforce availability.
Monitor production progress and ensure adherence to delivery timelines.
Resolve production bottlenecks in coordination with the production team.
Quality Control
Inspect products during and after production.
Verify dimensions and specifications using measuring instruments where required.
Ensure finished products meet customer drawings and quality standards.
Maintain quality inspection records.
Finishing, Packing & Dispatch
Prepare finishing and assembly schedules.
Plan packing activities as per dispatch priorities.
Ensure correct labelling, packaging, and quantity verification.
Coordinate dispatch and delivery schedules with transporters.
Documentation & Administration
Prepare tax invoices, delivery challans, and e-way bills.
Maintain production, inventory, purchase, and dispatch records.
Update Excel records accurately.
Purchase & Payment Monitoring
Track supplier invoices and payment due dates.
Coordinate with the accounts department for timely vendor payments.
Reconcile purchase orders with received materials and supplier invoices.
Required Skills
Strong planning and organizational ability.
Knowledge of production scheduling.
Basic understanding of quality control in manufacturing.
Good communication and vendor coordination skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
Familiarity with GST invoicing and e-way bill generation.
Ability to multitask and prioritize work.
Preferred Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management (or equivalent experience).
0–3 years of experience in a small or medium manufacturing unit.
Experience in plastic injection moulding or engineering manufacturing is an added advantage.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
