Job Summary
We are looking for a technically competent and customer-focused Technical Support
Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in providing pre-sales and post-sales technical
support for Industrial Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Products, Electrical Components,
Switchgear, Connectors, Electrical Panel Accessories, or Instrumentation Products. The
candidate will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, providing
technical solutions, supporting the sales team with techno-commercial documentation,
resolving customer queries, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely
customer support.
Key Responsibility Areas
1. Technical Support
Provide technical support to customers, OEMs, dealers, distributors, EPC
contractors, and the sales team.
Understand customer applications and recommend suitable products and
solutions.
Resolve technical queries related to product selection, installation, operation, and
troubleshooting.
Support customers through product demonstrations and technical discussions.
2. Application Engineering
Study customer requirements, technical specifications, BOQs, GA drawings, and
application details.
Recommend appropriate products based on customer applications and industry
standards.
Coordinate with Product Development and Engineering teams for customized
solutions whenever required.
Assist customers in selecting suitable products for their applications.
3. Techno-Commercial Support
Prepare technical specifications, compliance statements, product comparison
sheets, and technical submittals.
Support the sales team in preparing techno-commercial quotations and
proposals.
Review RFQs, tender specifications, and customer requirements for technical
compliance.
Provide technical clarifications during quotation and tender evaluation stages.
4. Testing & Product Validation
Assist in product evaluation, testing, and validation activities.
Coordinate with Quality and R&D teams for technical investigations and product
improvements.
Analyze field issues and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain records of product performance and customer feedback.
5. Customer Complaint Resolution
Investigate technical complaints received from customers.
Coordinate with Quality, Production, and Engineering teams for root cause
analysis.
Ensure timely resolution of customer issues.
Maintain complaint records and prepare technical reports.
6. Documentation & Product Support
Prepare and maintain technical documents, product datasheets, installation
guides, user manuals, and application notes.
Update product documentation based on engineering revisions.
Maintain technical records and document management systems.
7. Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with Sales, Production, Quality, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to
provide timely customer support.
Support factory visits, customer audits, product demonstrations, and technical
presentations.
Assist in new product launches and customer qualification activities.
8. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Maintain records of customer support activities, technical enquiries, and
resolutions.
Prepare weekly and monthly technical support reports.
Identify recurring technical issues and recommend process improvements.
Keep updated with new products, industry standards, and emerging
technologies.
Qualifications
Diploma / BE / B. Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
Experience
2–3 years of experience in Technical Support, Application Engineering,
Customer Support, or Product Engineering.
Experience in Industrial Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Components, Electrical
Components, Switchgear, Connectors, Electrical Panel Accessories, Industrial
Automation, or Instrumentation Products.
Exposure to product selection, application engineering, technical documentation,
testing, and troubleshooting is preferred.
Required Skills
Strong understanding of electrical and electronic products and industrial
applications.
Ability to read electrical schematics, technical drawings, datasheets, and
customer specifications.
Good knowledge of industrial standards and product applications.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/CRM systems.
Customer-oriented approach with effective problem-solving abilities.
Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel for customer visits and technical support when required.
