Job Title: Cyber Security Trainer
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Cyber Security Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality cybersecurity training, creating engaging learning experiences, and mentoring students or professionals to build practical cybersecurity skills. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instructor-led training in cybersecurity through classroom and/or online sessions.
- Teach topics including Networking, Ethical Hacking, Network Security, Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Assessment, SOC Operations, Incident Response, Linux, Windows Security, Cloud Security, and Security Best Practices.
- Conduct hands-on lab sessions using industry-standard tools and real-world scenarios.
- Develop and update training materials, presentations, assignments, and assessments.
- Evaluate learner progress and provide constructive feedback and mentoring.
- Guide students in preparing for cybersecurity certifications and career opportunities.
- Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and industry trends.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, ethical hacking, SOC, penetration testing, or cybersecurity training.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Kali Linux, Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nessus/OpenVAS, and SIEM platforms.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to learners with varying levels of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CISSP, OSCP, CISM, or equivalent.
- Previous experience in technical training or teaching.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
