Role Overview
We are looking for an 8+ years experienced QA-QC Manager to own and drive the quality management framework across Architectural, Structural, and MEPF projects.
The role will be responsible for establishing project quality standards, implementing robust QA/QC processes, conducting regular audits, managing model and drawing quality, and ensuring that project deliverables meet defined technical, contractual, BIM, and client requirements before submission.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Revit model & drawings auditing, point-cloud validation, LOD compliance, Navisworks coordination, clash detection, BIM standards, and US/Canada construction standards and codes.
Roles & Responsibilities
-
Project Quality Plan: Own and maintain the Project Quality Plan, including QC checklists, tolerances, quality gates, and review cadence across all disciplines.
-
Process Compliance: Conduct weekly audits to ensure project teams consistently follow defined execution, QA/QC, and documentation processes.
-
Schedule & Delivery Review: Review project plans and delivery schedules to ensure quality reviews and deliverables are aligned with project milestones.
-
Model & Drawing Quality: Lead quality reviews of Architectural, Structural, and MEPF models, drawings, and deliverables against project and client requirements.
-
QC Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the QC checking team across disciplines and ensure consistent application of quality standards.
-
Rolling QC: Implement continuous and milestone-based QC reviews rather than relying solely on end-of-project quality checks.
-
Model Federation & Clash Detection: Own model federation, clash detection, coordination workflows, and final coordination sign-off before client submission.
-
Point Cloud Validation: Audit Revit models against point-cloud and existing-condition data to ensure modelling accuracy within defined project tolerances.
-
LOD & BIM Standards: Ensure models and deliverables comply with defined LOD, BIM Execution Plan, ISO 19650, and client-specific requirements.
-
US/Canada Standards: Develop and provide project guidelines based on applicable US and Canadian construction standards, codes, and client requirements.
-
Quality KPI Reporting: Track and report weekly quality KPIs including rework, clashes, audit compliance, model deviations, and first-pass approval rates.
-
Issue Prevention & Resolution: Identify quality risks early and ensure issues are resolved before they impact project delivery or escalate to the client.
-
Root Cause & Corrective Action: Conduct root cause analysis for recurring quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
-
Quality Improvement: Identify process gaps and continuously improve project QA/QC workflows, standards, checklists, and review methodologies.
-
Technology & Automation: Evaluate and implement Revit tools, add-ins, automation, and AI-assisted solutions to improve quality checking efficiency.
-
R&D Collaboration: Work closely with the Development/R&D team to automate repetitive QC checks and develop scalable quality-control solutions.
-
Quality Documentation: Maintain accurate audit records, QC reports, issue logs, corrective actions, and quality-related project documentation.
-
Lessons Learned: Capture recurring quality issues and lessons learned and incorporate them into future project standards and training.
