We are looking for an experienced MEP Engineer with 15+ years of experience to manage and supervise Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) works across infrastructure and building projects. The role involves end-to-end coordination, execution, quality control, contractor management, testing, commissioning and handover of MEP systems.
The candidate should have strong technical knowledge, project execution capabilities and experience in managing multiple MEP activities while ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, safety standards and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
1. MEP Project Planning & Execution
- Plan, coordinate and supervise MEP works from mobilization through completion and handover.
- Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs and MEP design requirements.
- Develop execution plans and monitor progress against project schedules.
- Ensure MEP activities are completed within approved timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate MEP activities with civil, structural, architectural and other project teams.
2. Electrical Works
- Supervise installation of LT/HT electrical systems, transformers, DG sets, panels and distribution systems.
- Monitor cable laying, cable trays, conduits, terminations, earthing and lightning protection works.
- Coordinate installation of lighting, power distribution and electrical control systems.
- Review electrical testing and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with approved electrical drawings and applicable standards.
3. HVAC & Mechanical Works
- Supervise HVAC installation, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ducting, piping and ventilation systems.
- Monitor installation of pumps, motors and other mechanical equipment.
- Review equipment installation, alignment and commissioning.
- Ensure proper testing, balancing and performance verification of HVAC systems.
4. Plumbing & Fire Fighting
- Supervise domestic water supply, drainage and sewage systems.
- Monitor installation of plumbing pipelines, pumps, tanks and associated equipment.
- Coordinate fire-fighting system installation, including fire pumps, hydrants, sprinkler systems and fire alarm interfaces.
- Ensure testing and commissioning of plumbing and fire-fighting systems.
5. Contractor & Vendor Management
- Coordinate and monitor MEP contractors, subcontractors and vendors.
- Review contractor work plans, manpower deployment and material requirements.
- Monitor productivity and quality of contractor activities.
- Resolve technical and execution-related issues at site.
- Conduct regular coordination meetings and track action points.
6. Drawing & Technical Coordination
- Review MEP shop drawings, construction drawings and technical submittals.
- Identify clashes and coordinate with design and project teams for resolution.
- Ensure execution is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Review material submittals and ensure materials meet project requirements.
- Coordinate preparation and updating of as-built drawings.
7. Quality Control & Inspection
- Ensure MEP works comply with approved specifications, quality standards and project requirements.
- Conduct inspections at various stages of installation.
- Review testing reports, inspection requests and quality documentation.
- Identify defects and ensure timely corrective action.
- Coordinate with consultants and clients for inspections and approvals.
8. Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Plan and supervise testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Coordinate pre-commissioning and commissioning activities with vendors and contractors.
- Ensure all systems are operational before project handover.
- Review commissioning reports, test certificates and equipment documentation.
- Support preparation of operation and maintenance manuals and handover documents.
9. Project Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor daily and weekly MEP progress.
- Prepare progress reports and highlight delays, risks and technical issues.
- Track material availability and identify potential shortages.
- Monitor project costs and support quantity verification and billing.
- Maintain proper project documentation and records.
10. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all MEP works are carried out in accordance with safety procedures.
- Ensure contractors follow PPE, work permit and safe working practices.
- Coordinate with the HSE team for risk assessments and safety inspections.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements, codes and standards.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction practices.

- Experience in contractor and vendor management.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and specifications.

- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and preferably AutoCAD; knowledge of relevant MEP/BIM software is an advantage.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 15 years of relevant MEP project execution experience.
- Experience in large-scale commercial, industrial, institutional, IT park, campus or infrastructure projects will be preferred.
- Experience in managing multiple MEP contractors and project stakeholders.
- Exposure to complete project lifecycle from design coordination to commissioning and handover.
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
