Job Summary
The STP Operator is responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the sewage treatment plant to ensure efficient wastewater treatment and compliance with environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor STP systems (aeration, clarifier, pumps, blowers)
- Maintain proper MLSS, DO, and sludge levels
- Record daily readings (pH, TSS, BOD, COD, flow rate)
- Handle sludge removal and disposal processes
- Ensure proper dosing of chemicals and bio-culture
- Identify and troubleshoot operational issues
- Maintain logbooks and reports
- Follow safety and environmental regulations
Requirements
- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical/Civil/Environmental Engineering
- 1–3 years of experience in STP/ETP operations
- Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment processes
