Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Mechanical Technical Executive from the Automobile / Auto Components / Engineering Manufacturing industry. The candidate should be an all-round machine maintenance and repair expert capable of independently handling preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of different types of industrial machinery.
The role requires strong practical knowledge of CNC, VMC, Press Machines and other production machinery, with the ability to quickly identify faults and restore machines with minimum downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery.
- Diagnose and repair CNC, VMC, power press and other industrial machines.
- Handle mechanical troubleshooting of hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication and cooling systems.
- Troubleshoot machine problems related to spindles, bearings, ball screws, guideways, couplings, gearboxes and motors.
- Carry out machine alignment, leveling, lubrication and accuracy checks.
- Attend emergency machine breakdowns and ensure minimum machine downtime.
- Identify root causes of recurring machine failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Maintain proper records of machine breakdowns, preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure maximum machine availability.
- Manage machine spares, consumables and maintenance requirements.
- Handle servicing, overhauling, replacement and repair of machine components.
- Coordinate with external vendors/service engineers whenever specialized repairs are required.
- Ensure regular preventive maintenance schedules are completed on time.
- Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, drawings and machine manuals.
- Follow safety procedures and ensure safe working conditions during maintenance activities.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in CNC & VMC machine maintenance and repair.
- Good knowledge of Power Press / Hydraulic Press maintenance.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of mechanical components such as bearings, gears, shafts, couplings, pumps, valves and cylinders.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance techniques.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of RCA, MTTR, MTBF, TPM and 5S will be preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical/control systems and machine automation will be an added advantage.
- Should be capable of independently handling multiple types of machines and solving day-to-day maintenance issues.
Candidate Profile
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in machine maintenance.
- Must preferably be from the Automobile / Auto Components / Engineering Manufacturing industry.
- Should be a strong practical, hands-on technician/engineer, not only a supervisory candidate.
- Should be an all-rounder in machine repair and maintenance.
- Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering preferred.
- Candidate must be from Delhi NCR.
- Candidates with strong experience in CNC, VMC, Press and general industrial machinery maintenance will be preferred.
