Key Responsibilities
Control System Design
- Design detailed electrical schematics and control panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN
- Select and specify electrical components including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, Servo Drives, sensors, and safety devices
- Design industrial power distribution circuits with proper protection and sizing
- Develop control architecture for new and existing production machinery
Manufacturing Support and Improvement
- Provide technical support during control panel fabrication, machine assembly, and commissioning
- Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues to minimize downtime
- Improve and optimize existing systems for cost reduction and enhanced performance
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process
Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure compliance with UL, CE, NEC, ISO, and relevant machine safety standards
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including BOMs, wiring diagrams, and manuals
- Support audits and regulatory inspections as required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in electrical design within manufacturing, automation, or machine building
- Strong expertise in industrial controls design (low and medium voltage)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical (preferred) or similar CAD tools
- Hands-on experience with PLC and HMI systems (Siemens, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Omron)
- Experience in electrical testing, troubleshooting, and validation of industrial equipment
