Job Description – Plant Operator (Mahua Syrup Plant)
Position Title : Plant Operator – Mahua Syrup Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities
Production Operations
- Operate syrup manufacturing equipment such as mixing tanks, steam kettles, transfer pumps, filter units, filling machines, and CIP systems.
- Follow batch manufacturing procedures and production SOPs.
- Monitor temperature, pressure, flow, and processing parameters during production.
- Ensure proper handling of Mahua extract/syrup during processing.
Cleaning & Hygiene
- Perform CIP (Clean-In-Place) operations as per SOP.
- Clean production equipment, tanks, pipelines, and work areas regularly.
- Maintain GMP, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Use cleaning chemicals safely such as caustic soda and food-grade sanitizers.
Quality & Documentation
- Record production data, batch details, and machine parameters.
- Support QC team during sampling and inspection.
- Ensure product quality meets company standards.
Maintenance Support
- Identify equipment abnormalities and report breakdowns immediately.
- Assist maintenance team during preventive maintenance activities.
- Ensure safe operation of motors, pumps, valves, and utility systems.
Safety Compliance
- Follow plant safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain safe handling of steam, hot liquids, and chemicals.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI and food safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of food processing operations.
- Understanding of syrup manufacturing process.
- Knowledge of CIP cleaning systems.
- Ability to operate pumps, valves, and processing equipment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic documentation and record-keeping ability.
Qualification
Diploma / ITI / B.Sc. in Food Technology, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field preferred. Experience in food
processing or beverage industry preferred.
Experience
1–3 years experience in food processing, syrup, beverage, or pharmaceutical plant preferred. Freshers with technical knowledge can also apply.
