Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer with hands-on experience in BIW (Body-in-White) fixture design using CATIA V5. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing welding fixtures, checking fixtures, and assembly fixtures as per automotive industry standards.
Role Description
Design and develop BIW welding and assembly fixtures using CATIA V5
Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and detailed manufacturing drawings
Develop fixture concepts based on customer input and process requirements
Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback
Prepare BOM and technical documentation
Support during fixture assembly and try-out activities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
2–6 years of experience in BIW fixture design
Strong proficiency in CATIA V5 (Part Design, Assembly, Drafting, GSD)
