Job Title: IB Music Teacher
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Music Teacher to deliver engaging and inquiry-based music education within the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop musical skills, creativity, critical thinking, and an appreciation of diverse musical traditions while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality music lessons aligned with the IB curriculum.
- Develop students' musical understanding through performance, composition, listening, and analysis activities.
- Encourage creativity, collaboration, and independent learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Integrate technology and contemporary teaching practices into music instruction.
Assessment and Reporting
- Design and implement formative and summative assessments in accordance with IB standards.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of achievement.
- Provide timely feedback to students and communicate progress effectively with parents.
Programme Development
- Contribute to curriculum planning, review, and development within the Music and Performing Arts department.
- Support interdisciplinary learning opportunities and school-wide initiatives.
- Participate in IB training and professional development activities.
Co-Curricular Activities
- Organize and direct school choirs, bands, ensembles, and musical productions.
- Prepare students for concerts, assemblies, exhibitions, and cultural events.
- Encourage student participation in music-related competitions and performances.
Pastoral and Professional Responsibilities
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional learning communities, and school events.
- Uphold IB learner profile attributes and the school's mission and values.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music, Music Education, Performing Arts, or a related field.
- Teaching qualification/certification recognized in the relevant country.
- Strong instrumental and/or vocal music skills.
- Experience conducting ensembles, choirs, or school performances.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of music technology and digital music production tools.
- Ability to teach a variety of musical styles and traditions.
- Experience with international or multicultural learning environments.
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and collaborative practice.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
