Job Overview
Everon Impex is looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Designer with a background in Mechanical Engineering to join our engineering and product design team in Coimbatore. We welcome both passionate freshers with CAD training and experienced engineering candidates. You will assist in preparing technical drawings, 2D/3D modeling, Bill of Materials (BOM), and updating design documentation for manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Drafting & Modeling: Assist senior engineers/designers in creating and modifying 2D layouts and 3D models using AutoCAD and related design software.
- Engineering Documentation: Prepare detailed production drawings, assembly sheets, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM) using MS Excel.
- Floor Coordination: Liaise with the production team in Tamil, English, and Hindi to clarify design dimensions, tolerances, and assembly requirements.
- Design File Management: Maintain, organize, and archive engineering drawings, CAD files, project logs, and customer revisions on company systems.
- Product Improvement: Assist in measuring physical components, taking shop-floor feedback, and making design tweaks to reduce manufacturing costs.

Technical SoftwareHands-on knowledge of AutoCAD (SolidWorks, Creo, or 3D CAD is a plus)
Computer SkillsBasic Computer Knowledge, MS Office, and MS Excel (for BOM, spec sheets, & tracking)
LanguagesMultilingual – Proficiency in Tamil, English, and Hindi Key Competencies
- Good understanding of mechanical design principles, orthographic projections, and dimensions.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting technical components accurately.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills in Tamil, English, and Hindi.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and high attention to detail.
