ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Electrician to join our team at our Sonarpur, Kolkata facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work across residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The role demands attention to safety, precision, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures as per electrical codes and safety standards.
- candidates shouldhave work experience in chiller,(hot & cold system)
- Inspect and test electrical systems, circuits, and components to identify and resolve faults.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematic drawings.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance of electrical systems and machinery.
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and company guidelines at all times.
- Replace or repair faulty equipment such as switches, fuses, sockets, junction boxes, and circuit breakers.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and contractors to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and incidents reported.
- Respond to emergency electrical breakdowns and carry out necessary repairs with minimal downtime.
- Operate and maintain testing tools and instruments such as multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
- Minimum: Class 12 (10+2) pass from a recognised board.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- ITI Certificate in Electrician Trade is a strong advantage.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Proficient knowledge of electrical systems — AC/DC, single-phase and three-phase wiring.
- Ability to use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment accurately.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and relevant IS codes.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Team player with a responsible and punctual work ethic.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Location: Sonarpur, Kolkata, West Bengal — candidates residing nearby preferred.
- May require occasional overtime or weekend work during peak periods.
