Let’s start with the obvious.
We’re not actually looking for an “assistant.”
We’re looking for someone who can wear many hats. And actually keep them on.
Who are we?
- We’re a 50-year-old engineering company.
- We’ve built things that last.
- Now we’re building something new.
- Which means, for the next 12–24 months, this will feel less like a company and more like a system being rebuilt in real time. Fast. Slightly chaotic. High ownership.
What you’ll really do
- Capture meetings properly
Not summaries. Not interpretations.
Actual, accurate notes — that people can rely on.
- Turn conversations into action
Break discussions into tasks.
Follow up. Close loops.
Contracts, POs, emails.
Spot gaps. Raise flags. Draft replies.
between the CEO, sales, ops, vendors, and customers.
Less noise. More clarity.
Manage calendar, travel, priorities
Handle basic decision-making in the CEO’s absence (where required)
Keep things moving without constant supervision
Handle basic decisions when needed.
Not everything should need escalation.
- (Bonus) Support sales, hiring, and marketing when required
- because roles will overlap. And that’s intentional.
What you’ll need
Really important,
- Common sense. (Rare, we know.)
- Strong written & spoken English
- Ability to listen carefully — and write accurately
- Great with iMac / Google Workspace / ChatGPT / Canva
- 2–4 years of experience in similar roles
- Ability to handle multiple things without dropping the important ones
- Strong attention to detail
Also important,
- You can listen carefully and write accurately (especially in technical / business discussions)
- You can read a document and understand what’s actually being said
- You are comfortable following up with people (politely, but firmly)
- You don’t mishear things
- You don’t assume
- You don’t let things “slide”, because in our world, small mistakes compound quickly
Good to Have,
- Exposure to sales / marketing teams
- Feel more than comfortable using any kind of software, like a CRM
- Understanding of social media / Google Ads
- More than just basic Excel skills
Who you are not
- Someone waiting to be told what to do.
It’s one where you’re expected to figure it out.
- Someone who says “that’s not my job”.
It’s about being in the middle of the action.
- It’s not for someone just chasing a higher salary
- Someone who works only when being watched
What you get
- Direct access to the CEO
- Real responsibility (not fake titles)
- Exposure across functions
- A front-row seat to how a company is built
Apply if you
- Stability of a 50-year-old company
- Energy of a new venture
- Real exposure across departments
- A chance to build something, not just maintain it
- Like things being structured properly
- Notice details others ignore
- Follow up without being reminded
- Can write a sharp email without overthinking it
How to Apply
Send us your CV at [email protected] with the subject line “I don’t let things slip.” Along with a short note, Why this role? Why you?
Final Thought
We’re not hiring a support executive. We’re hiring someone who makes sure things move,
decisions stick, and work gets done properly.
If that sounds like you, we should talk.
