Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Freelance Content Creator who can independently plan, shoot, edit, and publish engaging content for Instagram and other social media platforms. The ideal candidate should understand current social media trends, have strong storytelling skills, and be capable of creating content that resonates with students, parents, and prospective applicants.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation
Create engaging Instagram Reels, Stories, and Posts.
Capture campus life, student activities, events, workshops, and celebrations.
Produce student testimonials, faculty interviews, and admission-focused content.
Develop creative concepts aligned with the college's brand and admissions goals.
Photography & Videography
Shoot high-quality photos and videos on campus.
Cover academic events, cultural programs, seminars, sports activities, and special occasions.
Ensure professional composition, lighting, and visual quality.
Video Editing
Edit short-form videos optimized for Instagram Reels.
Add captions, transitions, music, effects, and branding elements.
Create trend-based content while maintaining professional standards.
Social Media Management
Schedule and publish content on Instagram.
Create monthly content calendars.
Write engaging captions and relevant hashtags.
Monitor content performance and suggest improvements.
Brand Development
Maintain a consistent visual identity for the college.
Generate creative ideas to improve reach, engagement, inquiries, and admissions.
Required Skills
Experience in Instagram content creation.
Strong photography and videography skills.
Proficiency in video editing tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, VN, or similar software.
Knowledge of Canva or graphic design tools.
Understanding of Instagram algorithms, trends, and audience engagement strategies.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience managing social media for colleges, educational institutions, coaching centres, startups, cafés, or local brands.
Familiarity with student and youth-focused content.
Knowledge of Kannada and English.
Own camera equipment or ability to create professional content using a smartphone.
