In This Role, You Will::
We are looking for a Lead Analyst to join Cvent's Revenue Analytics team — a function dedicated to turning data into decisions that directly accelerate Hospitality Cloud revenue. This is a hands-on analytical role centered on market, product, customer and revenue intelligence, insight generation to arm Leadership, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams with clear, actionable direction.
You will own the analytical process end-to-end: from directly querying and extracting SQL data from Snowflake, to creating frameworks in MS excel and BI Visualization tool Sigma, to synthesizing complex findings into executive-ready narratives. You're not a strategist who consumes insights — you're the person who produces them, validates them, and communicates them with conviction.
FOCUS AREA
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Market Sizing & Opportunity Analysis
Translate business questions about market opportunity into structured analytical constructs — account scoring and prioritization models, TAM/SAM/SOM sizing frameworks, segmentation matrices, opportunity tiering systems, decision trees, cohort waterfall analyses, and whitespace maps — that tell Sales and leadership exactly which markets to enter, which accounts to pursue, and where the highest-value growth levers sit.
Insight Synthesis & Prioritization Logic
Build and maintain scoring and prioritization frameworks—ICP fit, account tiering, and segment stack-ranks—that surface the highest-value actions for business teams from large, complex datasets.
Business Rules Comprehension & Translation
Engage cross-functional stakeholders to deeply understand commercial rules, product nuances, and revenue logic; translate those requirements into governed analytical models that produce reliable, repeatable insights.
BI Build & Data Visualization
Design and maintain executive-grade dashboards in Sigma Computing consuming governed Snowflake views; ensure every visualization is accurate, self-explanatory, and action-oriented.
Data Validation & Quality Governance
Cross-check analytical outputs against source data; proactively flag discrepancies, correct for classification anomalies, and ensure all figures presented to stakeholders have been validated before distribution.
Stakeholder Communication & Storytelling
Distill complex analytical findings into clear, concise narratives for senior leadership; build presentation-ready materials that connect data outputs to specific business decisions and revenue implications.
Here's What You Need::
TECHNICAL SKILLS
-
4–6 years of hands-on experience with BI visualization tools (Sigma, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent) — building dashboards consumed by senior business stakeholders, not just analysts.
-
Solid SQL querying skills with direct, hands-on experience in modern cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred; BigQuery or Redshift also acceptable) — able to independently write queries to extract, filter, join, and aggregate data; navigate schemas; and validate results end-to-end. You get to the data you need without relying on others for every pull.
-
Deep proficiency in Microsoft Excel as a primary analytical workspace — including advanced formulas (INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IFERROR, array formulas), pivot tables, dynamic named ranges, and data validation logic. You should be able to build structured analytical models, scoring frameworks, and summary outputs in Excel that are clean, auditable, and ready to share directly with senior stakeholders without reformatting.
-
Demonstrated ability to translate business rules, commercial logic, and stakeholder requirements into structured analytical frameworks that surface clear, actionable insights — including account scoring and prioritization models, market sizing constructs (TAM/SAM/SOM), decision trees, segmentation matrices, opportunity tiering systems, propensity models, cohort waterfall analyses, and whitespace maps. The output is never just a model — it is a decision-ready artifact that tells a business team exactly where to act and why.
-
Strong data validation instincts — you cross-check, test assumptions, and catch anomalies before insights reach stakeholders.
COMMUNICATION & ANALYTICAL THINKING
-
Exceptional communication and presentation skills — able to distill complex, multi-variable findings into clear, concise narratives tailored for executive and operational audiences.
-
Strong business intuition: you don't just report what the data says — you understand why it matters and what action it implies.
-
Proven ability to translate ambiguous business questions into well-structured analytical frameworks, then execute those frameworks with precision.
-
Comfortable engaging directly with senior stakeholders to gather business rules, validate assumptions, and present findings — not just supporting from a distance.
DOMAIN & CONTEXT
-
Experience in B2B SaaS, marketplace analytics, or revenue intelligence is strongly preferred.
-
Familiarity with commercial constructs such as ARR, GRR, NRR, account tiering, and customer lifecycle metrics is a meaningful plus.
-
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar); advanced degree a plus but not required.
-
Experience in hospitality will be a plus but not required.
Why This Role Is Exciting
What makes this different:
-
High Analytical Leverage: Your market sizing and prioritization work directly shapes which accounts Sales pursues, which markets are targeted, and which pricing decisions get made.
-
End-to-End Ownership: You own the insight lifecycle — from SQL to Snowflake view to Sigma dashboard to stakeholder briefing. No handoffs, no silos.
-
Immediate Business Impact: Outputs go directly into renewal strategies, new logo target lists, and executive planning. Your work is visible and consequential from day one.
-
Data-First Culture: Operate in an environment that rewards rigor, rewards precision, and respects the difference between analysis and guesswork.
