The Event Sales Manager is a passionate and results-driven sales professional responsible for generating catering and event revenue through the solicitation, development, and management of new and existing client relationships. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, customer-focused, and skilled at building lasting partnerships while identifying opportunities to maximize revenue and exceed client expectations. Through strategic sales efforts, collaboration with operational teams, and a commitment to excellence, the Event Sales Manager contributes directly to the success of the Events Division and the overall business objectives of the resort.
Responsibilities
- Solicit, negotiate, and secure new and repeat catering and event business to achieve established revenue goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, event planners, business partners, and community contacts.
- Entertain clients and conduct networking activities to generate new business opportunities.
- Implement sales strategies that positively impact need periods and support overall revenue objectives.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of market conditions, industry trends, and competitive activity.
- Forecast business levels to maximize utilization of the resort's public meeting and event space.
- Conduct site inspections and resort tours for prospective and existing clients.
- Collaborate effectively with all resort departments to ensure seamless event execution and exceptional guest experiences.
- Achieve a minimum of 90% of the assigned individual annual sales quota.
- Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings, Daily Business Reviews (DBR), Event Order (EO), and Ten-Day Review meetings.
- Identify, solicit, and secure new business opportunities through proactive sales efforts, networking, prospecting, and relationship-building activities.
- Prepare and present customized proposals, contracts, and pricing packages that align with client needs and resort objectives.
- Manage the sales process from initial inquiry through contract execution and event turnover.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales cycle to ensure a positive and professional experience.
