Job Summary
The Medical Officer is responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients, diagnosing illnesses, prescribing treatment, and ensuring proper patient management in accordance with hospital policies and medical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine and diagnose patients in OPD/IPD and emergency cases.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans.
- Monitor patient progress and maintain proper medical records.
- Attend emergency and critical care cases when required.
- Coordinate with consultants, nursing staff, and other departments for patient care.
- Ensure timely admission, discharge, and referral of patients.
- Follow hospital protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards.
- Educate patients and attendants regarding treatment and preventive care.
- Participate in medical rounds, meetings, and clinical audits.
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical medical practices.
- Handle medico-legal cases as per hospital guidelines.
- Support hospital quality initiatives and NABH standards.
Educational Qualification
- BAMS/MBBS from a recognized medical college.
- Valid Medical Council Registration.
Experience
- Freshers or experienced candidates can apply.
- Experience in hospital or emergency care preferred.
Skills Required
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Good communication and patient handling abilities.
- Emergency management knowledge.
- Teamwork and coordination skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and EMR handling.
Duty Hours
As per hospital roster and shift schedule.
Salary
As per hospital norms and experience.
Pay: ₹20,668.56 - ₹40,242.47 per month
