Collatzinc is looking for a hands-on Software Architect to lead architecture and technical decision-making across client and product engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures.
- Lead system design, API, database, cloud, and integration decisions.
- Review technical approaches, identify risks, and guide implementation.
- Create architecture documentation and technical specifications.
- Support technical discovery, estimation, and client discussions.
- Mentor engineering teams and drive architecture best practices.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in software development and architecture.
- Strong backend expertise in Node.js, Python, PHP/Laravel, or similar technologies.
- Good understanding of modern frontend architecture (React, Vue, Angular, TypeScript).
- Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, data modelling, and performance optimisation.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of scalability, security, reliability, and system performance.
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
Good to Have
- Experience in software services, consulting, or client-facing roles.
- Exposure to AI/ML integrations, ERP systems, SaaS platforms, or automation solutions.
- Experience working with international clients.
This Role Is Not for You If
- Your experience is primarily project or delivery management.
- You focus on architecture documentation but not implementation.
- You cannot review code, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and performance issues.
