Job Title: Accountant / Tally Operator
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant / Tally Operator to manage daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and support the smooth functioning of our business. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Tally, accounting principles, GST compliance, and possess good written English skills for professional communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily sales, purchases, receipts, and payments in Tally.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ledgers.
- Prepare GST invoices and assist with GST return documentation.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain cash and bank books.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and MIS as required.
- Maintain inventory-related accounting records.
- Coordinate with auditors, CAs, and other financial consultants.
- Organize and maintain accounting documents and files.
- Draft professional emails and business correspondence in English when required.
- Assist with general office administration related to accounts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in accounting and Tally operations.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel.
- Good understanding of GST, TDS, and basic accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
Desired Skills
- Good written English for drafting emails, preparing documents, and communicating professionally.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Word and Outlook.
- Experience in inventory-based accounting will be an added advantage.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a trading, distribution, or inventory-based business.
- Familiarity with stock accounting and purchase/sales documentation.
