Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to handle retail store carpentry work, including furniture installation, fixture maintenance, display setup, and repair work. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring all wooden fixtures, furniture, and store fittings are maintained in excellent condition to support smooth retail operations and store aesthetics. Typical retail carpenter roles include fixture installation, display setup, repairs, and maintenance within store environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain wooden furniture, shelves, cabinets, counters, and display fixtures in retail stores.
- Execute store fit-out work, including partitions, counters, racks, doors, and wooden fittings.
- Read and understand drawings, measurements, and layouts for carpentry work.
- Conduct maintenance and repair of damaged fixtures, furniture, and wooden structures.
- Assist in store renovation and setup activities for new retail outlets.
- Ensure proper use of carpentry tools, machines, and materials.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and store teams for smooth project execution.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards at the worksite.
- Ensure all carpentry work meets quality and safety requirements. Retail carpenters commonly support store displays, cabinetry, fixture installation, drywall/repair, and remodel work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ITI / Diploma / Relevant Carpentry Certification preferred.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in carpentry, preferably in retail, interiors, or fit-out projects.
- Good knowledge of woodworking tools, materials, laminates, and fittings.
- Ability to read measurements and execute work accurately.
- Experience in furniture fixing, modular work, and store fixture installation preferred.
- Basic understanding of safety practices and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel for store setup projects if required.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in retail stores, showroom setup, malls, supermarkets, luxury retail, or interior fit-out projects.
- Knowledge of modular furniture, POP displays, and retail fixture installation.
Salary Range:
As per industry standards and experience.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹42,137.19 per month
