Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated Design & Development Engineer with an aeronautical engineering background to support product design, development, and manufacturing documentation. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career engineers eager to gain hands-on experience in mechanical and aerospace design.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development
- Create 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and assemblies using tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or Fusion 360.
- Develop design concepts based on requirements, specifications, and system-level inputs.
- Perform basic design calculations, tolerance analysis, and preliminary structural/thermal checks.
- Assist in material selection and identify suitable manufacturing processes considering performance and cost.
Manufacturing & Documentation
- Prepare manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and GD&T as per engineering standards.
- Support prototype development and coordinate with manufacturing teams.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and design revisions.
Technical Skills Required
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and 2D drafting.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of GD&T, tolerances, and engineering standards.
- Familiarity with rapid prototyping, CNC machining, sheet metal, composites, or injection molding (preferred).
