Job Summary
Step D is hiring an Academic Counsellor with prior experience in the EdTech industry. The ideal candidate should have experience counselling prospective students, handling admission enquiries, and achieving admission or revenue targets through consultative sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel prospective students and parents regarding educational programs.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls to convert enquiries into admissions.
- Understand student requirements and recommend suitable courses.
- Follow up with leads through calls, WhatsApp, email, and other communication channels.
- Maintain accurate lead updates and follow-up activities in the CRM.
- Achieve monthly admission and revenue targets.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth admission process.
- Deliver a professional and customer-focused counselling experience.
Eligibility
- 6 months to 2 years of experience as an Academic Counsellor, Admission Counsellor, Education Counsellor, Student Counsellor, or Inside Sales Executive in an EdTech company.
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Malayalam.
- Strong counselling, sales, and objection-handling skills.
- Experience working with CRM software is preferred.
- Target-oriented with a positive and professional attitude.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in companies offering:
- Online learning programs
- Test preparation (NEET, JEE, UPSC, IELTS, etc.)
- Higher education admissions
- Skill development or certification programs
will be given preference.
