Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in the jewelry, gold, diamond, or retail industry.
Strong knowledge of jewelry accounting, inventory accounting, and stock reconciliation.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally ERP/Tally Prime, Busy, or similar ERP systems.
Good understanding of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills, including MS Excel.
High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
Roles & Responsibilities
Maintain day-to-day accounting transactions, including purchase, sales, receipts, and payments.
Handle jewelry inventory accounting, stock verification, and stock reconciliation.
Reconcile bullion, gold, diamond, and gemstone inventory records with physical stock.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Perform bank reconciliations and ledger scrutiny.
Ensure timely GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance and maintain supporting documentation.
Prepare data and documentation required for tax filings and statutory audits.
Coordinate with auditors, banks, vendors, and internal departments.
Maintain accurate records in accounting software and ensure timely updating of financial data.
Monitor outstanding receivables and vendor payments.
Support management with financial analysis, budgeting, and cost control reports.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
