MAGS by Sananda Basak | Pune (On-site)
MAGS by Sananda Basak is a premium sustainable fashion label based in Pune, creating contemporary women’s wear using eco-conscious fabrics and original design thinking.
We are looking for a Junior Fashion Designer who understands that fashion goes beyond sketching, and includes pattern making, garment construction, understanding fabrics, production work, and hands-on craftsmanship, including jewellery making.
Important — Read Before Applying
- Only Pune-based applicants will be considered.
- This is a hands-on fashion design role. We are looking for designers who enjoy creating garments—not just designing them on paper.
- The role involves active participation in pattern drafting, garment construction, sample development, fittings, production support, and handmade jewellery creation.
- You do not need to be an expert tailor or master pattern maker, but you should be comfortable using your hands to create garments and assist in the production process under guidance.
- Candidates whose experience is limited to fashion illustration, styling, merchandising, consultation, retail sales, or purely conceptual design may not be suitable unless they have practical garment-making skills.
- If you are still developing your practical skills, you should have a genuine willingness to learn, accept hands-on training, and work closely with our design and production team. A positive attitude and eagerness to learn are just as important as prior experience.
- This is not an administrative, coordination, merchandiser or management role. We are looking for individuals who enjoy turning ideas into finished products through hands-on work.

- Participate in sampling and production workflows
- Stay updated with Indian and international fashion trends
- Opportunity to be involved in photoshoot production for new collections, with scope to contribute to styling and visual direction as part of the design process
- Engage with walk-in clients as a design professional, educating them about our work, process, and products—this is not a retail sales role
