Junior Accountant
Roles & Responsibilities
- Daily Sales Accounting
- Record daily sales
- Reconcile POS sales with cash, credit/debit cards and other online platforms.
- Verify discounts, cancellations, refunds, complimentary bills, and voided transactions.
- Prepare daily sales and collection reports.
- Cash & Bank Reconciliation
- Maintain daily cash book.
- Verify cash collections and cash deposits.
- Reconcile bank statements with accounting records.
- Identify and report cash shortages or excesses.
- Purchase & Vendor Accounting
- Enter purchase invoices for food, beverages, groceries, packaging materials, cleaning supplies, etc.
- Verify invoices against purchase orders/receiving records.
- Maintain vendor ledgers.
- Prepare vendor payment statements and payment schedules.
- Inventory & Food Cost Accounting
- Record purchases and consumption of food ingredients.
- Coordinate with the kitchen/store team for stock records.
- Assist in monitoring wastage, spoilage, shortages, and pilferage.
- Help calculate food cost and beverage cost.
- Reconcile physical stock with system/accounting records.
- Expenses
- Record restaurant operating expenses such as rent, electricity, gas, maintenance, repairs, transportation, salaries, and petty cash.
- Verify supporting bills and approvals.
- Maintain petty cash and expense records.
- Payroll Support
- Assist in preparing monthly salary statements.
- Record employee advances, deductions, incentives, overtime, and reimbursements.
- Maintain salary-related accounting records.
- Month-End Closing
- Reconcile cash, bank, vendors, customers, delivery platforms, and inventory.
- Assist in preparing monthly Profit & Loss statements.
- Provide data required for management reporting.
- Documentation & Audit
- Maintain proper filing of invoices, bills, receipts, payment vouchers, and bank documents.
- Provide documents to the CA, auditor, and management when required.
- Ensure accounting records are complete and accurate.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
