Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase & Procurement Executive to support sourcing, vendor coordination, material procurement, and purchase operations for interior fit-out and manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate should possess good negotiation skills, basic knowledge of interior materials, and the ability to coordinate effectively with vendors and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Purchasing
- Assist in sourcing materials, hardware, fittings, laminates, plywood, MDF, veneers, glass, metal, and other interior-related products.
- Obtain quotations from vendors and compare prices, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Prepare and process purchase orders as per project requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new vendors.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding quotations, deliveries, and payment-related matters.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, pricing, and delivery commitments.
Inventory & Material Coordination
- Coordinate with project, production, and site teams for material requirements.
- Monitor material availability and track pending orders.
- Assist in maintaining procurement records and material databases.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain purchase records, quotations, invoices, and vendor documentation.
- Update procurement trackers and prepare purchase reports.
- Ensure proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Cost Control
- Support cost-saving initiatives by identifying competitive vendors and alternative materials.
- Ensure purchases are made within approved budgets and project requirements.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Interior Design, Business Administration, or related field.
- Freshers with relevant internships or up to 2 years of procurement experience may apply.
Required Skill:
- Basic knowledge of interior materials and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good organizational and follow-up abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment.
- Knowledge of ERP systems will be an added advantage.
Preferred Experience:
- Exposure to interior fit-out, furniture manufacturing, retail fit-outs, construction, or related industries.
- Understanding of vendor management and material sourcing.
