About Young Innovators
Redefining education since 2011, Young Innovators is a pioneering Edu-tech company dedicated to transforming today’s educational environment through the implementation of STEM education and our unique "exploratory-based learning" methodology. Through meticulously designed products and hands-on programs, we empower learners to move beyond textbooks, explore real-world challenges, and excel in an increasingly competitive global landscape.
About the Role
Are you ready to ignite young minds with the magic of flight? We are looking for passionate individuals who want to move beyond textbook teaching to actively shape minds, spark curiosity, and build the future.
As an AEROSPACE STEM INSTRUCTOR, you will turn innovation into action for students in Grades 5–10. You will use the physics of flight as a practical vehicle to teach core STEM concepts. Your primary goal is to serve as an "Aeromodelling Architect"—creating a dynamic classroom environment where children design, build, and fly model aircraft, empowering them to become the next generation of aviators, engineers, and creators.
Key Responsibilities1. Classroom Delivery & Experiential Learning
- Teach and Inspire: Deliver high-energy, engaging aeromodelling and STEM programs, simplifying complex aerodynamics and making the science of flight exciting and accessible.
- Hands-on Facilitation: Lead interactive workshops, engineering challenges, and building sessions that bring theoretical physics and mechanics to life.
- Cultivate Thinking: Actively encourage creativity, critical thinking, and independent problem-solving among students during design and lab sessions.
2. Mentorship, Crafting & Flight Testing
- Guide Young Builders: Serve as a dedicated mentor, helping students design, prototype, and build their own technical projects, airframes, and model aircraft.
- Engineering & Testing: Guide students through the mechanics of propulsion systems (motors, power systems) and lead hands-on flight tests to analyze results and refine student designs.
- Differentiated Learning: Adapt teaching styles to meet the needs of diverse learners and different age groups, ensuring every child feels supported.
- Maintain Safety: Ensure a safe, organized, and collaborative environment during all practical fabrication, tool usage, and flying sessions.
3. Program Execution & Collaboration
- Curriculum & Innovation: Collaborate closely with a passionate team of educators and curriculum developers to design innovative, hands-on STEM curricula.
- Session Planning: Prepare for daily sessions by reviewing curriculum materials, organizing physical hardware/aeromodelling kits, and setting up classroom tools.
- Track Progress: Monitor student participation and project outcomes, providing constructive feedback to parents and leadership.
Work Structure
- Work Timings: Office and school hours typically between 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, depending on school schedules and travel.
- Days: 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday.
- Travel: Energetic educators must be willing to travel to assigned schools for sessions, workshops, and STEM camps.
What We’re Looking For
- Background: A degree in Engineering (Aerospace/Aeronautical/Mechanical preferred), Physics, Science, or Education.
- Makers & Builders: Hands-on experience or a strong interest in designing, building, and flying model aircraft, RC planes, or UAVs.
- Core Skills: Solid conceptual understanding of aerodynamics, foundational electronics, and mechanics, paired with excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Mindset: A strong passion for STEM education, working with children, and a creative, enthusiastic, team-oriented mindset.
What We Offer
- Impactful Work: Meaningful work that makes a tangible impact, giving you the chance to shape future scientists, engineers, and aviators.
- Structured Training: A 3-month onboarding and structured training program covering product content, demo sessions, classroom management, and co-facilitation.
- Culture of Innovation: A creative, supportive, and mission-driven work environment with opportunities to bring your own ideas to the curriculum.
- Compensation: Competitive fixed salary with performance-based increments tied to session quality, teacher feedback, and student learning outcomes.
If you dream of building futures, fueling imagination, and making science take flight — this is your runway. Apply today and lift off with Young Innovators!
