We are a premier Ship Chandling company headquartered in the UAE, providing comprehensive supply solutions to the global maritime industry. We are currently expanding our dedicated back-office operations in Kerala and are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Buyer to join our team.
Role Overview
As a Procurement executive based in our Kerala back office, you will be the backbone of our procurement process, directly supporting our UAE operations. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring a wide range of maritime supplies—including provisions, technical stores, and deck/engine equipment—ensuring our clients receive top-quality products on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, source, and evaluate reliable vendors and suppliers for various ship stores and provisions.
- Request quotations, compare prices, and negotiate terms to secure the most cost-effective deals.
- Generate and process Purchase Orders (POs) with high accuracy.
- Coordinate daily with the UAE front office and global vendors to ensure seamless and timely deliveries.
- Maintain organized records of purchases, pricing, delivery schedules, and vendor performance.
- Quickly resolve any supply discrepancies, quality issues, or delays.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Any Bachelor's degree is welcome to apply. However, B.Tech or Diploma graduates will be given strong preference.
- Language Proficiency: Exceptional proficiency in English (Written and Spoken) is an absolute MUST. You will be handling continuous international correspondence.
- Experience: Previous experience in procurement, buying, or the ship chandling industry is a significant added advantage.
- Availability: Candidates who can join immediately will be highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong negotiation abilities, excellent email etiquette, computer proficiency (MS Office, ERP software), and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
