We are looking for a Backend Developer with 1–3 years of hands-on experience to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, experience building scalable APIs and backend systems, and the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment. Experience working with payment gateways or fintech platforms is preferred.
You will work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and founders to build reliable, high-performance systems that power our platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs
- Build scalable, secure, and high-performance server-side applications
- Work with databases, caching systems, and message queues
- Collaborate with frontend and product teams to implement new features
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Implement security and data protection best practices
- Monitor backend systems and improve reliability and uptime
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in backend development
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
- Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture
- Strong understanding of MySQL and database design
- Hands-on experience with Redis, queues, and caching strategies
- Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, and API security
- Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows
- Good debugging and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with scalable architecture and distributed systems
- Experience integrating payment gateways is preferred
- Exposure to scalable and event-driven architectures
- Startup experience is a plus
