Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase & Product Development Executive who can manage vendor sourcing, procurement and development of new products across sensory, therapy, rehabilitation, adaptive, child-development and related categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and identify new products, manufacturers and suppliers.
- Research market trends and competitor products to identify new product opportunities.
- Coordinate with vendors for new product development, samples and prototypes.
- Take product requirements from concept to sample and final production.
- Compare samples on quality, functionality, material, durability, packaging and cost.
- Negotiate product pricing, MOQ, lead time and commercial terms.
- Coordinate product modifications with vendors based on feedback.
- Maintain product specifications, costing sheets, sample records and vendor details.
- Manage regular purchasing and ensure timely availability of products.
- Coordinate with warehouse, operations and management for product requirements.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and product improvement.
- Develop alternative vendors/products to reduce dependency on a single supplier.
- Coordinate with vendors for quality issues, replacements and corrective actions.
- Support packaging and labelling development for new products.
- Maintain a pipeline of new products and ensure timely launches.
Skills Required
- Strong vendor sourcing and negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of product development and sampling.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets.
- Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
- Ability to understand product specifications and communicate them to manufacturers.
- Good commercial understanding of MOQ, costing, margins and lead times.
- Strong research and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ownership mindset.
Preferred Experience
Experience in sensory products, therapy/rehab products, toys, children’s products, adaptive products, apparel, consumer products or e-commerce will be preferred.
