Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering
- Fresher or 0–1 year experience can apply
- Basic knowledge of industrial valves such as Ball Valve, Gate Valve, Globe Valve, Check Valve and Control Valve
- Basic understanding of pressure class, valve materials and end connections
- Ability to read customer RFQ, datasheets and technical specifications
- Basic knowledge of ASME, ANSI, API and ASTM standards preferred
- Good communication and coordination skillsKnowledge of MS Excel, Word and email communication
- Basic understanding of costing and commercial calculations preferred
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn technical and commercial activities
- Ability to coordinate with Sales, Design, Production and Purchase departments
Role & Responsibilities
- Review customer enquiries, RFQs and technical specifications
- Prepare techno-commercial offers and quotations for industrial valves
- Select suitable valve type, material and specifications as per customer requirement
- Coordinate with Design, Production and Purchase departments for technical inputs and costing
- Prepare cost estimation based on material, manufacturing and bought-out components
- Maintain quotation records and enquiry status
- Prepare compliance sheets and technical deviation lists when required
- Follow up internally for timely submission of quotations
- Support sales team with technical and commercial information
- Coordinate with vendors for bought-out item costing if required
- Understand customer standards and project requirements
- Assist in preparation of BOM and preliminary documentation
- Participate in learning product standards, valve applications and company products
- Support senior estimation/proposal engineers in day-to-day activities
