Job Title: QA Intern (Manual Testing) - MetaDesign Solutions
Location: Gurugram, Haryana, India (On-site) · Internship Duration: 6 Months

As a QA Intern in our Quality Assurance team, you will gain hands-on experience testing real-world products, contribute to delivering high-quality software, and learn industry best practices from experienced QA professionals.
- Review functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria to develop a clear testing approach.
- Create, maintain and execute manual test cases and test scenarios for web and mobile applications across functional and UI areas.
- Perform exploratory testing, cross-browser and cross-device checks, and basic usability verification to identify defects and inconsistencies.
- Log, triage and track defects using defect-tracking tools; provide clear reproduction steps, screenshots and impact analysis.
- Validate fixes and perform regression testing to ensure issue resolution without side effects.
- Collaborate closely with developers, designers and product owners in daily stand-ups and sprint planning to clarify requirements and improve product quality.
- Maintain accurate test documentation and contribute to test reports, checklists and release readiness assessments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes by sharing lessons learned and suggesting test coverage enhancements.
- Pursuing final-year degree or recent graduate in B.Tech/B.E. (CS/IT), BCA, MCA, B.Sc. (Computer Science), M.Sc. (Computer Science) or related fields.
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts, with emphasis on Manual Testing, SDLC and STLC.
- Familiarity with writing test cases, test scenarios and executing test plans.
- Experience or exposure to bug reporting and defect tracking tools (for example: JIRA, Trello or equivalent).
- Basic knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and mobile application behavior relevant to testing.
- Analytical mindset, strong attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills.
- Available to work full-time on-site from the Gurugram office for the full 6-month internship period.
- Basic familiarity with SQL for validating backend data and basic API testing using tools such as Postman.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum workflows and experience participating in sprint ceremonies.
- Exposure to cross-browser testing, responsive design testing and use of browser developer tools.
- Any coursework, certification or hands-on experience in ISTQB Foundation, test automation fundamentals (Selenium, Cypress) or CI/CD practices is a plus.
- Prior internship or project experience in QA, software development lifecycle or product testing environment.
- Hands-on experience working on live web and mobile projects with real product teams and clients.
