We are a bootstrapped and profitable fintech organization with leading banks as our long-term clients. As we continue our global expansion, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team in India and contribute to our growth journey.
- Support day-to-day Finance and Accounting operations.
- Manage customer invoicing and follow up on receivables.
- Support Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) activities.
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping, account reconciliations, inter-company reconciliations, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with payroll processing, employee reimbursements, and related finance operations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare and maintain MIS reports, financial reports, and management dashboards.
- Assist in budgeting, cash forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Support GST, TDS, Professional Tax, EPF, and other Indian statutory compliance requirements.
- Support UK VAT and other UK statutory compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, and internal stakeholders as required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies within the finance function.
Support ad-hoc finance projects and business initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in Finance and Accounting operations.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Experience handling invoicing, reconciliations, receivables, payables, and financial reporting.
- Experience in UK accounting and UK IFRS is preferable.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other productivity tools.
- Experience with accounting software such as Zoho Books, Xero, or similar ERP systems.
- Basic understanding of UK VAT, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
